AI Co-Lab

A collaborative group is exploring AI’s role in teacher learning, meeting over four months in 2024 to address common challenges and share expertise within the RPPL network.

Description:

The AI Co-Lab is an initiative of the RPPL network, bringing together Affiliate+ and member organizations to explore the application and potential of AI tools in supporting teacher professional learning. Over four months, participants will engage in monthly collaborative meetings designed to deepen their understanding of current AI uses in education, identify common challenges, and develop collective solutions.

This initiative not only aims to support participating organizations’ individual efforts but also seeks to gather insight on the current landscape of PL related to AI tool implementation. By documenting exemplary partnerships between organizations and school districts, the AI Co-Lab contributes to building a robust AI knowledge infrastructure within the educational sector.

Organizational Overview:

The AI Co-Lab is structured around four key meetings, each building on RPPL’s AI report and other relevant publications. These sessions provide a platform for members to share their experiences, expertise, and strategies for integrating AI into teacher professional learning. The collaborative nature of the Co-Lab ensures that participants can collectively address problems of practice and innovate solutions that can be scaled across the network.

Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase successful case studies and partnerships, offering valuable examples of how organizations can work with school districts to enhance AI knowledge and infrastructure. This collaborative effort not only benefits the participants but also contributes to the broader goal of advancing AI integration in education through shared learning and collective action.
