RPPL’s Annual Convenings

Through panels, breakout sessions, workshops, and network-led discussions, participants dove into the research shaping the field and surfaced new ideas to strengthen educator learning nationwide. Together, the RPPL community celebrated both the enduring currents that sustain our work and the waves of change that carry it forward.

Absolutely loved being able to join and think collectively around the work we’re doing with teachers and leaders—such great conversations, new thought partners, and was wonderful to experience the wave of grounded practicality mixed with innovation 🌊

Tiffany Peltier
director of Professional Learning at NWEA

We hosted our second annual convening on October 28-29, 2024, and brought together 100 leaders across our network and the professional learning field.

The convening explored the evolving paradigms, emerging trends, and transformative practices reshaping the field of PL. It featured share-outs from our latest research, presented by a diverse collective of PL practitioners, researchers, and district partners. Attendees joined workshops to stay up to date with the latest PL evidence base and had the opportunity to receive feedback on their own research and learning.

I was heartened to see and meet so many people who are committed to learning about how we can make professional learning work for educators and for students. It’s so powerful to be together in a space like this.

Director of Professional Learning at Boston Teachers Union

We hosted our first in-person convening for members and affiliates in December 2023. Over 50 professional learning leaders from across our network joined us, affirming the power of our community in propelling our shared mission forward.

Together, we shared what we’re learning about conducting stronger research and how we can work together to achieve our collective vision for teachers and students.
