Catch up with the recording and slides from RPPL’s February 2024 Brown Bag on goals, questions, and lessons learned from a recent project on coaching with an AI tool.

By Mathew Moura, LaMonica Williams, Jen Gleason, Carolyn DiProspero, and Emilie Rivkin | Teaching Matters

Evidence strongly suggests that a well-designed instructional coaching program improves teacher practice and student outcomes. So how does an AI tool support the coaching relationship and deepen the coaching process? How will teachers and instructional coaches leverage the recent advances in AI for the benefit of their classrooms? These are questions a recent partnership between TeachFX, an edtech startup, and Teaching Matters sought to answer in a three-month project funded by the Gates Foundation. In this presentation, you will hear from various stakeholders from Teaching Matters and a teacher from a NYC school about the goals and questions they hoped to answer through this project, as well as their lessons learned and ideas for future projects.
