Brown Bag: Measuring PL, Round Two: The View from PL Organizations (9/26/23)

As a follow-up to last month’s Brown Bag on defensible measurement, affiliates and members will get a preview of RPPL’s upcoming white paper. This publication, collectively produced by more than a dozen PL organizations and researchers across RPPL’s ecosystem, centers the voices and practices of PL organizations that are working alongside districts, schools, and teachers. Facilitators will describe the measurement challenges that PL organizations confront in supporting the needs of practitioners, and detail specific challenges and areas for improvement in their respective organizations. They will discuss ways their organizations are addressing these challenges through new and existing innovative, practical, and equity-focused measures. The format of the session will be interactive and space will be made for discussing the affordances and limitations of measurement approaches across the RPPL network.
