AI in Professional Learning: A Network Survey of PL Providers reports on how 31 teacher PL organizations in RPPL’s network are investing in AI, including early applications and persistent challenges. As the use of AI in teacher PL rapidly evolves, providers want to know how to leverage new technologies in safe and research-backed ways. This report features case studies of organizations at different stages of AI engagement putting ideas into action, and identifies opportunities for research investments that will translate into tangible benefits for educators and students. It offers four key strategies to facilitate the successful integration of AI technologies in PL: co-develop and study real-world use cases, build decision-making tools and shared resources, facilitate structured peer learning, and unify the field behind a shared, PL practitioner-informed research agenda. 

Building on the learnings from RPPL’s 2024 landscape analysis, AI in Professional Learning: Navigating Opportunities and Challenges for Educators, this report deepens our understanding of the emerging role of AI in teacher PL.
