Affiliate+ Organization Commitment Information

As a RPPL Affiliate+ organization, your mission and work are relevant to professional learning, you implement or plan to implement evidence-based PL practices, you support PL for teachers and leaders, and/or you shape conditions for PL.

RPPL’s partner organizations share a desire to strengthen program design, results, and efficacy, especially for historically marginalized student populations. The cross-organizational relationships and practices we are establishing will create the infrastructure for sustained learning in the teacher PL ecosystem for years to come.

What Affiliate+ organizations can expect from RPPL over a 2-year period:

Cross-Workstream Enabling Conditions:

  •  Better tool and strengthen our network to support our research and learning
    • Sharing and access to shared data repository for secondary analyses (once built)

Research:

  • Execute current RPPL studies and test different approaches to develop research learnings for the short, mid, and long term
    • Eligible to apply for contributing study funding 
    • Observe anchor study co-design process 
    • Opportunity to participate in anchor studies if interested

Ecosystem Learning and Development: 

  • Continue to offer and improve upon shared learning activities within and external to our network
    • Co-authorship on RPPL publications from workgroups 
    • Access to 2 research capacity-building office hours a year (i.e. how does my organization become research ready?)
  • Access to shared learning opportunities:
    • Network monthly brown bags
    • Network newsletters
    • Networking events
    • Online community platform
  • Advanced previews of:
    • Research findings from studies conducted by RPPL members & researchers
    • Landscape analyses and literature reviews on PL research
    • Shared measures, tools, and resources created by RPPL members to help conduct PL research

What RPPL will expect from Affiliate+ organizations over a 2-year period:

Research

  • Participate in research if contributing study funds are awarded, with option to join PLC if funds not awarded

Ecosystem Learning and Development 

  • Participation in workgroups and network co-labs (stipends vary)
  • Co-authorship and (when possible) present on workgroup publication in a public webinar and/or conference
  • Complete one capacity-building assessment survey and one partnership call with the Network Engagement and Learning Manager a year
  • Attend >50% of monthly RPPL Brown Bag Lunches and briefings; share relevant findings with your team to incorporate into practice
  • Share RPPL’s research findings and amplify RPPL’s communications through your channels 
  • Share what you are learning relevant to RPPL’s learning agenda through social media and networks
