We will discuss incentives, systems, and processes to motivate and support teachers to collect student data for use in professional learning, including a case study on LessonLoop’s experience incentivizing and supporting teachers. The session envisions two use cases for data collection; teacher as researcher for self-reflection on the impact of their practice on students, and teachers collecting data for use by the district or an external researcher collecting data to assess the effectiveness of PL for a specific programmatic or curricular intervention.
